Change Log

Purpose: Look up what changed in a release, and confirm which version a device or station is running.

When to use this: Before you escalate an issue (support will ask for the version), after an update lands, or when a fix you were told about doesn't appear to be there.

The two products

ProductVersioned byCurrent release
Handheld appVersion code104
Workstation serviceVersion number5.2.10.0

Check which version you're running

Handheld app: the version is printed at the bottom of the start screen and the check view, and in the footer of the device settings screen. It reads as v104.0.

note

The on-screen number carries a .0 suffix that the change log does not. Version code 104 shows on the device as v104.0. Read only the part before the dot when you match it to an entry below.

Workstation service: right-click the installed VitaPay program file, choose Properties, and read the version on the Details tab. The version is also sent with the logs a station uploads, so Upload Logs Now gives support the version without anyone reading it off the machine.

How to read the notes

  • Entries are newest first, and are grouped by the version the build actually shipped with, so a single entry can cover several days of work.
  • The date is when the work landed, not when it reached your site. An update reaches a workstation through the VitaPay Updater, which may apply it later.
  • Where a change only takes effect if every station at a venue is updated, the entry says so under Rollout. Treat those as blocking: a venue left half updated will behave inconsistently.
  • Error codes and on-screen text are quoted exactly as you see them, so you can search this page for what's in front of you.
