Mobile Terminal mode
Purpose: Make the handheld act as the card reader for a counter workstation. The order is rung on the counter; the customer pays on the handheld.
When to use this: When a counter needs a mobile reader instead of a fixed countertop one. Recommended for bars, where a server carries the reader to the guest, but it's guidance, not a rule. This is one half of the setup; the workstation side is in Workstation · Setting up Mobile Terminal.
Turn it on
- Make sure the handheld is on the same network as the workstation.
- Open Device Settings with the unlock gesture.
- Find the Mobile Redirect section and set Redirect: ON.
- In the Target IP / IP:PORT / URL field, enter the workstation's address (for example
192.168.1.20or192.168.1.20:3036), then tap Save. You'll see Redirect target saved. - Tap Close, then Back To POS.

How it works with the counter
The workstation has to be pointed back at this handheld for the pair to work. Set the workstation's Enable Mobile Terminal and Mobile Terminal IP to this device, see Workstation · Setting up Mobile Terminal. Then a sale rung on the counter prompts for payment on this handheld.
Verify
- Ring a small test sale on the counter; the prompt appears on this handheld. Approve it, then void it.
- On the workstation dashboard, Service Stats shows EnableMobileTerminal: true with this device's address.
