Solo / Standalone mode
Purpose: Key an amount directly on the device and take payment, with no point-of-sale behind it.
When to use this: For a quick, standalone charge where there's no check to pull and no POS to ring into. It's guidance, use whatever mode fits.
Turn it on
- Open Device Settings with the unlock gesture.
- In the Payment Mode section, turn on Solo.
- Tap Close, then Back To POS.
How it works day to day
- The operator enters the amount on the device and runs the payment.
- There's no order or check behind it, it's a direct charge.
Opening settings in Solo mode
In Solo mode you can reopen Device Settings by long-pressing the on-screen title. The standard swipe-swipe-tap gesture also works from the logo screen.
Verify
- Entering an amount and running it ends in Transaction Approved!.
