Order & Pay mode (default)
Purpose: Take the order and the payment on the handheld itself.
When to use this: This is the mode the app ships in. It expects the point-of-sale to be running on the same device, so the handheld both rings the order and collects payment. It suits general service where one device does everything. The recommendation is guidance, you can run any mode that fits.
Turn it on
- Open Device Settings with the unlock gesture.
- In the Payment Mode section, set Order&Pay ON.
- Set the RVC to the revenue center this device rings into.
- Tap Close, then Back To POS.
How it works day to day
- The device runs the point-of-sale and the payment app together. Staff ring the order, then take payment on the same screen.
- Back To POS returns from the app to the point-of-sale at any time.
Verify
- The device returns to the point-of-sale when you tap Back To POS.
- A test order can be rung and paid on the one device, ending in Transaction Approved!.
