Self-Checkout / Kiosk mode
Purpose: Lock the device into a kiosk the customer operates themselves.
When to use this: For unattended checkout. Once started, the device stays in kiosk until someone enters the exit code, so customers can't wander out of the payment flow. Guidance, not a rule.
Turn it on
- Open Device Settings with the unlock gesture.
- Find the Self-Checkout Kiosk Mode section and set Kiosk Mode: ON.
- Fill in:
- RVC #: the revenue center.
- Table #: the table or station number to use.
- Exit PIN: the code that lets staff leave kiosk mode. Keep it to staff.
- Tap Start to lock the device into the kiosk.

How it works day to day
- The customer completes their own checkout on the locked device.
- In kiosk mode the customer can Split a payment or choose Pay Full.
- Staff leave kiosk mode by entering the Exit PIN.
Verify
- After Start, the device is locked into the kiosk flow.
- The Exit PIN returns it to normal use.
